This Sporting Life

Stunning in its power and truthfulness of a story about the complexity of human relationships, and the cruelty of professional sports, who the person to the limit and then discarded it as unnecessary and boring toy. Former miner Frank machin decides to take up professional Rugby, because it is healthy, strong, and because it's much better to do than to cut the coal underground. Quickly making the first successful steps, he begins to feel the taste of glory around him faint enthusiastic fans, he had money fall out all the pockets, but... he manages to fall in love with a cold and indifferent widow, his housekeeper, and completely loses control of himself.
