Semidesyatiletiyu Alvin Straight, living the last years together with the crazy daughter in a quiet provincial town, goes on a journey to see his older brother Lyle, who survived a heart attack. Alvin buys a used mower (it does not have the right to drive the car) and goes on a journey across two States. He was waiting for a random roadside fun, good people, and finally meet with his brother.
