The Chronicles of Melanie

June 14, 1941, Soviet troops occupied Latvia. Without warning, the authorities burst into the house Melania and her husband Alexander, and force them to leave. With more than 15,000 Latvians Melanie and her son are deported to Siberia. In the fight against cold, hunger and cruelty help her the letters that she writes to Alexander, and he hopes for the liberation of Latvia and a better tomorrow.
