The Big Country

19th century, South-West of the USA. Among the long strips of land and the arid regions of giant canyons are two settlements. One major Henry Terrill, another loser Rufus Hennessy. They are both absolute individualists that use for their cattle the same watering and warring. Henry — a local rich man, whose beautiful home, a large herd of cattle, a beautiful daughter and a full staff of farm laborers, cowboys. Rufus — the poor. He has a few disobedient and rebellious sons, a dozen barns and an army of poor families... Suddenly, the town declared an educated gentleman — the captain of the ship James Makeyn. He's going to marry the daughter of Terrill, but she this buck did not like James refused to sit on an unbroken horse and shied away from a fight with a senior overseer Steve. However, the newcomer is challenging the surrounding society, as it does not intend to yield to provocations.
