Ted Kramer, devoting himself entirely to his career, ignoring what is happening in their own family. So his wife leaves him, leaving the hapless father to take care of six-year-old son. Now Kramer senior should act in unusual role: he will take care of the younger Kramer, spend more time with him and, finally, to try to penetrate a fragile and vulnerable world of the child. But in that moment, when father and son become true friends, the repentant, the mother returns. And she wants to take the boy.
