A Royal Affair

The film takes place in the early 1770-ies in Denmark. Danish king Christian VII, who suffers from serious mental illness, prefers to spend time in the brothels of Copenhagen, causing hatred young Queen Caroline Mathilde. Soon, in the retinue of the king appears the young German doctor Johann Friedrich Struenze, who managed to positively affect Christian VII and, having won his confidence, to a number of government posts. Struenze closer and Caroline Mathilde. But the Queen-mother, Juliana Maria can't accept this state of Affairs...
